Sarah Oppenheimer

N–01

The internationally renowned artist Sarah Oppenheimer develops a spatio-architectural, interactive installation in a close debate with the architectural conditions of the Kunstmuseum Thun.

Oppenheimer’s work occupies a position between sculpture and architecture. Through the subtle modification of the given architectural elements, her interventions alter the viewer’s experience of the spatial progression within a building.

At the same time, however, the perception of the entire building structure becomes more apparent. Oppenheimer’s work simultaneously irritates and clarifies the physical perceptual experience of the built environment.
