What does Cornerhouse Publications offer?

We stock over 4,000 publications from many of the most innovative publishers, galleries and museums working in contemporary visual arts. Our list encompasses all the visual arts including architecture, art theory and education, design, digital media, fashion, film and video, painting, photography, performance and sculpture.

How do I find a particular book?

To find the title you want, use the search function. You can search by Title, ISBN, Artist or Publisher. You can search under the following headings: Best Sellers, New Titles, Publishers, Artists, Authors and Categories. In our Catalogue section, you can also refine your search by format, availability, date, and price.

How do I order a book?

When you have made your choice, please select ‘buy now’. This will take you to an automatic checkout that is managed by our distribution partner, Ingram Publisher Services (IPS). You can add as many titles as you require to your shopping basket, where you can review your order and then checkout securely.

How can I pay for items?

Payment can be made by the following cards: American Express, VISA, VISA Delta, MasterCard, Maestro and Visa Electron.

When will my credit card be debited?

Ingram Publisher Services (IPS) will take a pre-authorisation when the order is placed, but only debit the card when the goods are ready to ship. A confirmation email will be sent to you from IPS.

Will you acknowledge my order?

Yes, an email will be sent to confirm receipt of your order. You will also receive an email when your order has been dispatched from the IPS warehouse.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Your order will normally be processed on the working day that it is received. However, we advise customers to allow 2-4 working days for delivery in the UK. Delivery overseas is by Standard Post (International Mail). Delivery to Europe is usually between 5 and 10 working days, and between 9 and 20 working days for the rest of the world. Courier services are also available for overseas customers who require a quicker delivery time. Please select the appropriate option when you check out.

My book hasn't arrived. What should I do?

What if the item I want is out of stock?

If a title is not currently available it will be noted on the website. Ingram Publisher Services (IPS) will record your order for future supply. They will then charge your card and despatch the title as soon as it becomes available.

What is your pricing policy?

While every effort is made to ensure that prices listed are correct, they are subject to change at any time and without notice.

I am an EU customer. Will I have to pay extra delivery charges on my order?

Yes, if you select the courier delivery option. There will be an additional cost from UPS of £4.15 per carton. This cost will be clearly itemised for you at the Checkout stage of your order.
If you select the Royal Mail (Airmail) delivery option, there is no extra delivery cost (unlike the UPS).

I am an EU customer. Will I have to pay extra charges when I receive the order in my country?

Yes, possibly. It is your responsibility, as the end customer, to clear customs and pay any relevant taxes. Each EU country has its own charges for importing goods from the UK. Please check the guidelines with your country's customs office in advance of ordering.

My order is worth over €135 / £135 including shipping. Will I have to pay extra charges as it takes me over the EU threshold?

If your order is worth €135 / £135 or more (including shipping) then there could be extra charges levied by the customs authority in your country, before you receive the items. Again, please check the guidelines with your country's customs office in advance of ordering. Any extra charges are your responsibility.

I am an EU customer and am ordering a non-book item such as a DVD or BluRay. Do I have to pay VAT and / or extra charges when I receive the goods in my own country?

If you are liable to pay VAT then a standard 20% charge will be included at the Checkout. On non-book items you are also more likely to have to pay extra customs or tariffs charges when you receive the goods in your country. Please check the guidelines with your country's customs office in advance of ordering. Payments for any extra charges are your responsibility.
