Werner Aisslinger

House of Wonders

Award-winning product designer Werner Aisslinger (born 1964 in Nördlingen, lives in Berlin) was invited to create a site-specific installation for the Paternoster Hall at Pinakothek der Moderne.

House of Wonders is devoted to a three-dimensional utopia, that portrays futuristic ideas of living, robots and other assistive technologies, as well as design-driven progress.

All of these are playfully and unpretentiously integrated in our analogue world and without greater consideration incorporated into everyday life.

The publication presents the work of Werner Aisslinger of the past ten years to the present. Designed by Bureau Mirko Borsche in close cooperation with Werner Aisslinger.

Published retrospectively after the exhibition, Werner Aisslinger: House of Wonders at The Design Museum, Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich (11 November 2016 – 17 September 2017).
