Maxime Delvaux

Château de Chambord, Dilmun Burial Mounds, Joze Plečnik, Río Tinto, Victor Horta.

Maxime Delvaux is a Belgian internationally renowned architecture photographer based in Brussels.

In this publication he shows, for the first time, images taken independently from any commission.

For this, he pursued a solitary trajectory, visiting buildings and sites which cover a wide historical span and resonate with his personal fascinations.

These five photographic series are devoted to a particular building, site or architect: Château de Chambord in France, Dilmun Burial Mounds in Bahrain, Jože Plečnik’s buildings in and around Ljubljana, Río Tinto in Spain, and Victor Horta’s Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels.

The book also includes texts from a variety of authors who were invited to react to Delvaux’s images in experimental ways.
