Charlotte Birnbaum is a culinary historian and the author of numerous books on food and art. She initiated a series of event called This Dinner is a Group Show, in which artists and chefs collaborate to create extravagant meals.

Her PLATEAUX are unique sculptural objects, meant to function as conversation pieces for the dining table or as autonomous works of art.
