This book documents a recent collaborative exhibition of Per Kirkeby and Lawrence Weiner, and it features interviews with both artists by Hans Ulrich Obrist.

The artists have known each other for many years. The idea of making a collaborative work and an exhibition together already evolved in the mid-eighties, however due to practical reasons the project was not realized back then.

In autumn 2014, the idea returned to them in a new form, and it was decided that now was the time to make it happen. It was an exhibition with a long history that suddenly became a reality.

Per Kirkeby presented two new brick stone sculptures built in situ at the gallery space while Lawrence Weiner exhibited new and recent text pieces mounted on the gallery walls as well as on the inside walls of one of Kirkeby’s sculptures.
