Kiki Smith

Prints

An exquisite book on an exquisite practice, and it's rare that we get such an in depth book on an artists print practice. A truly beautiful edition to your collection - Staff Pick

The catalogue is dedicated to Kiki Smith’s (b. 1954) complex oeuvre of printed work, from its beginnings in 1985 to today.

Over 150 works, from the New York based artist’s comprehensive bestowal of more than 800 pieces to the Staatliche Graphische Sammlung in Munich, were selected for this beautiful large-format catalogue.

The texts deal with the same themes that Smith has dealt with in her work for more than 40 years and which are especially important to her: the body, life, and death, and last but not least, fairy tales.

Published on the occasion of the exhibition, Touch: Prints by Kiki Smith at Staatliche Graphische Sammlungen, Munich (14 February – 26 May 2019).

English and German text.
