In Futurology, Hewitt and Jordan (Freee) expand upon the ideas initially explored in the project Futurology: The Black Country 2024.
This book documents five commissions, an exhibition and a series of public talks. It also includes five new texts that further explore the key issues framed by the Futurology project; participation, collaboration, authorship, artist as educator, and art in social and cultural division.
The result is a book that supports the idea of enquiry and discourse as a means to reflect upon the context and function of contemporary cultural production now.
