Walking the Dog, Lying on the Sofa is a collection of Andreas Eriksson’s poetic work, printed on colour fold-outs, whose point of departure and content is the experience of nature.
The artist captures impressions from his daily walks – walking the dog – as well as the shadows in his house at night – lying on the sofa – with his photography and combines that with abstract paintings to form composite works.
Eriksson’s sculptures are based on bronze casts of natural objects – dead birds that have flown into his atelier window or trees – with which he creates metaphors of becoming and passing away.
