Don Brown

Yoko

Introduction by Sara Harrison

Don Brown’s wife. Yoko, has been the subject of an ongoing series of his sculptures since 1999. Reduced precisely to half or three-quarter scale, these pure white sculptures present Yoko in different poses – sleeping, sitting, shrouded, clothed, and naked. This book features 20 of these works, juxtaposed with short texts by artists, critics, collectors, curators and friends, among them Stefan Kalmar, Gregor Muir, Richard Prince, Norman Rosenthal, Rudolf Sagmeister and others.
