Thomas Scheibitz is not only a painter and sculptor, but also a passionate bookmaker.

In this artist’s book, he presents new, mostly unpublished works.

With the title Der ungefegte Raum (The Unswept Room) Scheibitz refers to the antique tradition of trompe l’œil painting and the Greek mosaic designer Sosos of Pergamon (2nd century BC), whose invention of ornamenting mosaic floors with food, as if it were left-overs from a lavish meal, forms the leitmotif base of this artist’s book.
