The Duesseldorf based photo artist Thomas Ruff counts as one of the most significant German artists since the late 1980s. With series like Portraits, Nudes, Jpegs and m.a.r.s., Thomas Ruff studied over and over again the concept of images and challenged with analytical precision the medium of photography itself.
Over three years we were allowed to accompany the artist in his studio and setting up an exhibit.
This is a PAL DVD lasting 50 minutes, with German and English subtitles. Produced by IKS – Institute for art documentation and scenography.
