This publication was created in tandem with the Vardy Gallery exhibition, Songs and Routines and offers a critical assessment of Paul Rooney’s practice through nine of his recent sound works including Warm Up, The Street Is Quiet, Lyrical Ballads, and Tony’s a Winner. Graham Parker’s sobering contemplation of Rooney’s work is a pleasure to read.
Included in the book is a compilation compact disk containing 16 of Paul’s audio works from 1999 – 2003. Also includes a biography.
