Ever since his artistic beginnings around 1970, Roman Signer has often developed his ideas concerning actions and installations on notepaper, envelopes or slips of paper.

Over time many of these project ideas were realised, sometimes not until years later.

Based on these sketches some works were prepared by means of detailed project drawings, others were realised directly.

This substantial publication brings together Signer’s complete sketches made over five decades.
