This is the first artist’s book by Robert Morris. Entirely designed by the artist, it has been conceived in conjunction with a personal exhibition at Leo Castelli Gallery in New York in the autumn of 1998.

It was included in an installation entitled The Rationed Years (composed of paintings, school desks, sculptures, and a sound piece).

The text as well as the drawings of the special edition refer to World War II and to Morris’ own memory of this period.

Printed on Z-offset paper at La Queue du Tigre, Geneva. Hardcover printed in military green by silkscreen with a vignette printed by letterpress on buff paper.
