This book features full colour reproductions of Rachel Howard’s works from 2013 – 2017, installation images from museum shows and reference images from the artist’s archive.
It has been published on the occasion of the artist’s exhibition of new paintings and a new body of sculpture, Der Kuss at Blain|Southern, London (24 January – 17 March 2018).
The works in Der Kuss ask us to consider how memory can fix on banal imagery as a reference point for dramatic or traumatic occurrences such as war.
Includes a poem by Kate Dent and texts by psycho analyst Darian Leader, and Blain|Southern’s Head of Exhibitions, Craig Burnett.
