Once Again

Published alongside an exhibition at the John Hansard Gallery (17 September – 31 October 2002) exploring the use of duplication and the significance of ‘doubling’ in contemporary art practice. The exhibition Once Again and this accompanying publication explore the use of duplication and the significance of ‘doubling’ in contemporary art practice.

Illustrated are objects, paintings, videos, drawings and photographs, each comprised of two similar and sometimes identical parts that rely on each other to make the whole. The works included also scrutinise the physical and psychological interaction between the artist and viewer induced by such practice.
