This fully illustrated publication has been produced to accompany Neal Rock’s solo exhibition Fanestra & Other Works at The New Art Gallery Walsall in 2009.

Neal Rock creates painted, sculptural compositions through the layering of pigmented silicone. Vast in scale, his works are at once alluring and repelling, excessive and restrained.

His choice of material and processes aim to develop and transform a tradition of abstract painting, acknowledging the impact of recent film history and other media.

This, his first major solo exhibition in a UK public gallery, features entirely new work. Neal Rock lives and works in Los Angeles, USA.
