Between the Man Made and the Natural

The artists in this show work in the space between the man made and the natural, often tampering with the built environment or nature’s elements, to create other forces or raise questions around our perceptions.

Things are not, at first glance, quite what they seem. All the contributors have chosen to use photography as a tool for liberating ideas, or making something, which actually doesn’t exist, appear as part of the everyday.

By bringing together the man made with the natural, a whole new exciting place is created, often drawing on the familiar, which makes the place accessible or other people to visit. Exhibition at The New Art Gallery Walsall 16 May – 6 July.
