Lukas Felzmann

Apophenia

Known for work relating to the intersection of culture and nature, this book is a departure for the artist Lukas Felzmann (b. 1969, Zürich) who adds appropriation to his repertoire.

Apophenia is an artist’s book which weaves together two archives: One is an archive of postcards sent to the father of the artist, the other is the artists archive of unpublished photographs.

The juxtaposition results in a surprising sequence of vertical images traversing locations from Europe to the United States and all the way to India.

Published in association with Codax Publishers, Zürich.
