Little Movements II

Self-practice in Contemporary Art

The exhibition and research project Little Movements features leitmotifs such as the repeal of temporal and geographical boundaries, the questioning of ideas and structures, and the connection of practice and theory.

The project explores a number of practices with a highly individual approach that reject the ‘system’ and the established hierarchy.

This book records the project on the basis of essays and the description of 16 varying practices of artists, writers, architects, curators, and others including Ai Weiwei, Hans Belting, Igor Zabel, and Jens Hoffmann.

Published on the occasion of the exhibition Little Movements II at Museion Bozen, Bolzano, 29 June – 3 November 2013.
