Let’s Take Back Our Space evaluates the 1970s encyclopaedic photographic archive by the German artist Marianne Wex. Wex’s vast project was based on ‘female and male body language as a result of patriarchal structures’.

The exhibition brings together the work of three artists – Robert Morris, Marianne Wex and Cerith Wyn Evans – who, in their radically different ways, explore body language as something at once urgent and inherently ambiguous.

Published in 2010 after the exhibition Let’s Take Back Our Space curated by Mike Sperlinger which took place at Focal Point Gallery, Southend on Sea, 26 October – 14 December 2009.

The book is printed in a numbered edition of 500.
