This is the first monograph dedicated to French artist Gilles Barbier.

His work has developed around narrative forms and employs the structure of an improbable cosmology, borrowing its motives from numerous spheres of culture. The publication invites the reader to travel through the artist’s universe in a large selection of gouaches.

Includes an introduction by Dorothea Strauss and an interview with the artist by Jean-Yves Jouannais.
