Within Reach was published to accompany Chris Ofili’s presentation at the 50th International Venice Biennale.

The publication is presented in three volumes. Volume I includes essays by writer and cultural theorist Stuart Hall and art critic Adrian Searle, a conversation between the artist and curator Thelma Golden and words by Beth Coleman.

Volume II includes colour plates of all paintings and works on paper, while Volume III documents the extraordinary transformation of the British Pavilion by Ofili and architect David Adjaye.

Chris Ofili was born in Manchester, England, in 1968, and currently lives and works in Trinidad. He won the Turner Prize in 1998.

Solo exhibitions of his work presented internationally include New Museum, New York (2014), Tate Britain, London (2010 and 2005); kestnergesellschaft, Hannover (2006), and Serpentine Gallery, London (1998).

Chris Ofili: Weaving Magic, opens at the National Gallery, London in April 2017.

This beautiful publication comprises of three softback volumes in a slipcase.
