Chinese Video Now is an exhilarating exhibition of video work by a new generation of Chinese artists responding to the great socio-economic changes in urban China.

The recent Western upsurge of interest in all things from China reflects the attention directed towards China’s contemporary art, with digital video technology at the heart of this extensive creative scene. The flexibility of the medium has enabled these artists to achieve a multitude of works, from ambitious studio productions to low-budget hand-held camerawork.
