This artist book, Character Is Fate: Piet Mondrian’s Horoscope by artist Willem de Rooij takes as its focus the historical and unique documents of Adriaan van de Vijsel’s horoscope readings for Piet Mondrian.

The book is published by Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art in Rotterdam in collaboration with the Netherlands Institute for Art History (RKD) who have granted the rights to reproduce the manuscript for this publication.

Featuring new texts by Wietse Coppes and Kocku von Stuckrad.
