This catalogue, an artist’s book designed by Matthew Barney and Elizabeth Peyton, documents their Blood of Two exhibition at the DESTE Foundation’s project space on the Greek island of Hydra (a slaughterhouse, a mysterious yet evocative location), in the summer of 2009.

A written piece by Angus Cook is complemented by documentary photographs of the production and installation of the exhibition, as well as images of the opening day procession at sunrise, which lead visitors to the work of art.

The exhibition marks the first occasion in which Barney and Peyton have collaborated.
