As If It Is At All

Simon Cutts: Some Poems 1995 – 2006

as if it is at all is a gathering of the transferable poems by Simon Cutts of the past decade, from individual books and isolated pieces, from Pianostool Footnotes (1982) and Seepages (1989), The Jargon Society and A Smell of Printing (2000). Here the compression has been extended to such separate works as A Canticle for Fred Sandback (2003), œillets des poètes (2006), 14 Blackthorns (1999) and Tin Funnel, Jug & Dish (2005) with Erica Van Horn, to selections for the electronic formats of Free Verse and Origin. These are now contained in this single book, whose format type and space may present an ideal unification of this new accumulation.
