Arcangelo Sassolino

This publication is presenting a selection of projects by artist Arcangelo Sassolino created between 2004 and 2008.

Sassolino produces sculptural objects, often large in scale with a hard-edge industrial aesthetic and invariably physically imposing, that challenge their materials and the extreme forces that they create or resist.

This book provides a rich visual and textual investigation of the artist’s approach and methodology, a detailed analysis of individual works, and an overview of the historical context in which they belong.

The texts and an interview propose a series of complementary perspectives on Sassolino’s oeuvre, and point toward the various intriguing possibilities for its development.
