[...] Und Immer Eine Gute Linie: Zeichnungen und Skulpturen 1984 - 2007

Anton Henning’s design of the bistro Interieur 253 for the restaurant in the old Bahnhof Rolandseck features a distinctive scene based on the space and location with murals, paintings, handmade luminaires, light boxes and a painted counter. His critical inquiry into modernity is clear not only in the amorphous forms, reminiscent of Jean Arp, but also visible in the abstractions which are based on an exploration of the works of Picasso and Matisse.

Henning’s illustrative work and new sculptures are presented in this book published on the occasion of the opening of the new Arp Museum designed by Richard Meier (Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck, September 2007 – March 2008).
