Annette Messager

For this new project, Annette Messager has drawn a series of real life prohibition pictograms (no symbols), found on the internet or on one of her many trips around the world.

She manipulates these every day signs, confronting humour to the ordinary violence of individual restrictions.

Through an installation of these drawings and a series of puppets, Annette Messager invites us to reconsider these social markers as a common vocabulary which invasion we must limitate, or else accept a ridiculous lost of freedom.
