Award-winning chef, restaurateur, writer and long-time Norfolk resident Carla Philips has created this charming little book about the humble cockle, which doesn’t attract much culinary attention and yet, she argues, has a firm place in British and European history.
The book features a number of British and French cockle recipes, collected by the author over the years, interspersed with snippets of local history and family anecdotes.
A Little Book of Cockles features black and white drawings by acclaimed artist Laurie Clarke and has a limited print run of 500.
