John Wood and Paul Harrison have been making video works together since 1993 combining elements of sculpture and performance.
Over the years their work has been characterized by their use of a fixed camera, the clean minimalist aesthetics of their sets and their own presence in their work, in which the human body is used as a tool to explore spatial boundaries, using dead pan humour and a combination of artist made objects and everyday items.
This major publication – featuring literally hundreds of video grabs, drawings and text – gives voice to a number of key works produced by the duo between 2000 and 2005.
This title accompanies Wood and Harrison’s exhibition at Ffotogallery @ Turner House, Penarth, Wales, 2006, and includes an interview with the artists by Nigel Prince.
