Ridinghouse

Ridinghouse is dedicated to publishing the best of art writing and criticism, revisiting art history and exploring individual artists and specific projects. Founded in 1995, this London-based press focuses on producing high-quality, beautifully designed, engaging and informative art publications.

Several themes run through Ridinghouse’s books, including critical writings by leading figures as well as a series of collected reviews and critical texts that charts the gradual reception of a single artist over time. Furthermore, Ridinghouse is committed to publishing first monographs that provide a comprehensive overview of an artist’s career; along with a series of titles on neglected art-historical themes such as the relationship between art and law, and artist projects that use the book form to document and expand on various artists’ works.
