This 2013 exhibition ‘zine’ style catalogue is published alongside the annual show that launches at Spike Island, Bristol, 14 September 2013 – 10 November 2013, and then tours to ICA, London (November 2013 – January 2014), featuring the work of 46 artists across a range of media.

New Contemporaries has a long and illustrious history. Established in 1949, this annual show has been dedicated to profiling the work of young, new and emerging artists at the start of their professional careers. The selectors for New Contemporaries in 2013 were Chantal Joffe, Ryan Gander, and Nathaniel Mellors.
