Offprint, here we come…!

We’re getting rather excited here in the Cornerhouse Publications office – this coming weekend we are attending the Offprint 2017 book fair (19–21 May), where 140 independent/experimental publishers in contemporary art, photography and design will be showing off and selling their wares. There will be a series of workshops and performances for everyone to join in with too.

Hosted for its third year in the massive Turbine Hall at Tate Modern, this will be our first time as one of the exhibitors – and we just cannot wait! It gives us a great opportunity to actually meet with our customers face-to-face, and to mix with other publishers and distributors who work with the amazing books being produced in our field.

Set up by the LUMA Foundation, Offprint is a “platform supporting independent, experimental and socially engaged publishers in the field of art, architecture, design, humanities and visual culture.” And it’s not the only book related event that LUMA organise throughout the year: in November they set up Offprint Paris (9–12 November 2017) and they also tour several travelling libraries, and produce and curate bookshops for private and public institutions.

Go to the Offprint website to get a full list of the London event’s participating publishers for 2017. You can also follow them on facebook, instagram, or twitter (@offprintprojects) to get up to date information.

If you can make it to the fair then do come along. It opens at 18:00 – 22:00 on the Friday (19 May) and then at 12:00 – 20:00 on the Saturday (20th), and 12:00 – 18:00 on the Sunday (21st). We’d love to see you there!

It was really tricky for us to pick a concise selection of our (huge range of) titles to take with us, but just to wet your appetite here are a few of the most interesting ‘artist books’ that we will be selling on our stand…

We will also have a range of rare, collectible and out-of-print books for sale. So, what are you waiting for?! Come along!
