Grayson Perry to exhibit new work at the Serpentine Gallery in 2017

We have just heard some very exciting news from Victoria Miro gallery:

Grayson Perry has been invited to present a show next year by the Serpentine Gallery (8 June – 7 September 2017). According to the Victoria Miro website, Perry is, ‘one of the most astute commentators on contemporary society and culture…The works in the show will touch on many themes including popularity and art, masculinity and the current cultural landscape.’

And according to Perry, ‘The new works I am making for this show all have ideas about popularity hovering around them: What kind of art do people like? What subjects? Why do people like going to art galleries these days? What is the relationship of traditional art to social media?’

For more detailed information have a look at the Victoria Miro website, and you can also visit the Serpentine Galleries website here.

Just in case you aren’t aware of them, some our most popular Grayson Perry titles are also some of our best sellers: The Vanity of Small Differences (Hayward Publishing); The Vanity of Small Differences (cards, British Council); and don’t forget the forthcoming common-editions title, that Perry has contributed to, and will help launch in London on 23 November 2016, The Creative Stance. More details on this book launch event will feed through soon!
