We’re getting really excited about HOME’s forthcoming Rachel Maclean book and exhibition – with both ready for your enjoyment on 29 October 2016.

If you can’t wait until then, an extract of the HOME film commission will be released at Frieze (starting 5 October 2016) and will also be broadcast on national television: Maclean has been hand-picked as a focus artist for ‘Frieze Projects’ this year, which are curated for the first time by Raphael Gygax.

According to the Frieze website, ‘Rooted in the art-historical tradition of video performance, this year’s Frieze Film artists use their own bodies on screen’…. and, ‘Rachel Maclean’s hyper-saturated videos unfold narratives through characters that quote classic films’. It looks like 2017 will also be a busy year for this highly acclaimed artist as she will be representing Scotland with her solo Pavilion show at the Venice Bienale in 2017.
