Gaia Project reveals… ‘Elemental’

‘…exploring the poetic spaces where Art becomes Ecology, and where Ecology becomes Art…’

We are delighted to announce that our new, small, independent publisher Gaia Project has recently published its first theoretical anthology. Elemental: an arts and ecology reader is a unique and very timely collection of essays written by some of the world’s leading interdisciplinary artists, activists, curators and writers in the field of Eco Art.

A work of art in itself, this book is sensitively and beautifully created by ethical design studio, Minute Works who have also crafted a wonderful new brand/identity for Gaia Project. You can read the story of their special creative collaboration online, here.

Earlier this year, Gaia Project also co-published, Soil Culture: Bringing The Arts Down to Earth with CCANW. To coincide with the United Nations International Year of Soils, this publication celebrates the impressive three year Soil Culture programme which reveals how arts and culture explore the vital, ecological importance of soil.
